Wisteria Season : collaboration Shell Sherree X A French Collection

When it's Spring in France, the pretty purple of luscious wisteria clambers over buildings with irrepressible happiness.

One of my fellow French-loving Australians is the delightful Annette of A French Collection, an online treasure trove of insights into French life, what it's like to live there as one who loves the country but is not born there, how to get to know Paris and France from an 'in real life' and 'on the ground' perspective, and how to enjoy it as a tourist as well, ie: she knows plenty of awesome places the locals know!

To celebrate wisteria season, Annette has written a visually-stunning blog post 'Where to Find Wisteria in Paris', and we talked about me doing an illustration using her gorgeous photography as inspiration.  The one I chose was a photograph Annette took of wisteria clambering cheerfully around a courtyard at a girlfriend's gîte complex in France.  Lo and behold, here's my resulting illustration.  Sweet, hey?!  Bonus points if you can spot the mouse.

You can order this endearing and pretty fine art print here, and please head over to A French Collection website to enjoy more of Annette's insights and wisdom.
