When illustrating Paris pâtisseries, my sense of alliteration makes me want to include pairs of people and pooches. MIssion accomplished! The gorgeous macarons you see here, however, are from a little piece of Paris in Brisbane.  In a rabbit warren of suburban backstreets half an hour from the city, you'll find a delightful jewelbox called Madders Brothers Pâtisserie.  In Paris and Belgium, the word 'pâtisserie' is controlled. It can only legally be used if there's a licensed maître pâtissier {master pastry chef} employed.
