Paris Cafes Summed Up in One Street

Turn any corner in Paris and you might happen upon a scene like in this illustration of mine.  Pretty as a postcard, cobblestones and blue-tinged grey sky (or grey-tinged blue sky ... are you the half-empty or half-full type?) framing picturesque cafes rubbing elbows with each other.  There could be a tree.  In a wider street, it's quite likely.  Less likely is a cat eyeing off a safely-out-of-reach bird, but Paris is renowned for cafes with resident ones, so let's say this belongs to one of them.

It's rare for me to illustrate a street scene.  Way past time for this one!

There are two reasons I sell my fine art prints unframed.

The first is to keep the shipping costs down, as it hikes enormously even with just a single mat let alone the rest of it.

The second is that framing really is a personal choice.  Frame choice can be both fun and complex.  It should reflect your personality and that of your home while also being sympathetic to the artwork it shows off and protects. I always have a soft spot for a gold frame (or pewter if I'm hedging my metal bets) and usually love to go for something ornate, even if the artwork is detailed and could perhaps enjoy yin to its yang.  The ornate frame style is kind of my signature look in decor.  Whether it's 'in fashion' or not, I encourage you to pooh-pooh any such thoughts and go for what you love!

Having given the above disclaimer as to my bias :) ... this fine art print could be nicely shown off with a frame that has a simple, smooth profile (timber, gold or white).  And consider a double mat, with the inner one giving a pop of colour ... perhaps the red to accentuate the cheeky striped awning.  But first things first ... you'll need to order it!  You can do so here.  Clicquez-ici, s'il vous plaît.
